About the Author:

GENERAL BACKGROUND:
            William T. Barrett served as Director of Engineering at the Dings Company in Milwaukee Wisconsin for over 20 years. He holds ten patents in the field of Magnetic Separation. One of Mr. Barrett’s previous books pertains to Magnet Evaluation. This was a break through work in which he developed a more exacting and practical method of magnet evaluation.
            Mr. Barrett received a patent for the first Solid Waste Recycling Magnetic Separator. This Separator made it feasible to reclaim steel cans from solid waste. Previous to that the separated steel had too much entrapped waste to be saleable. This breakthrough sparked the concept of Recycling that has grown into an industry in itself. William T. Barrett is listed in the “Who’s Who in American Industry”.

BIBLICAL BACKGROUND:
            In the 1970’s Mr. Barrett became interested in trying to understand the Bible. He quickly realized that he did not understand what he was reading. A typical example was Ecclesiastes 11:1 which said, “to cast bread on the water and you would find it many days later.” Barrett knew this was physically impossible but also had enough respect for the Bible that he knew that God had not wasted space with that text. He determined to try to find help, so that he could understand the Bible. He first asked local Pastors for help but soon realized that they could not help him. Then, he appealed to the Theological Seminarians for help and did not receive help there either. Then, he turned to the library and began to read volumes of books on bible study. He soon realized that God never intended for us to read 400 page books on bible study in order to understand the bible! Finally, in desperation he turned to God for help, and that is when He began to make progress! He began to study the parables and discovered the simple method of teaching that Jesus used to help people understand. The simple Bible Word Picture method of Bible Study is a direct result of God’s help.

POINTS OF INTEREST:
l He has diligently studied the Bible for over 30 years.
l He has given Bible Study Seminars since 1987, to help people understand the Bible.
l He has taught in Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic as well as numerous location in the United States.
l He has received many thank you letters from people that were helped by the simple Bible Word Picture Study Method.
l He has developed a Study Method that is non-denominational and allows the Bible to explain itself without speculation.
l He has conducted Bible Study Seminars at several Theological Schools, to help young ministers understand the Bible so that they can teach others.

PERSONAL GOALS:
l To make the Bible simple enough for anyone to understand it the way God intended.
l To provide Bible Study tools in the form of books and audio/visual materials which will make Bible Study simple and interesting.
l To provide materials in English and Spanish and other languages.
l To give Bible Study Seminars whenever possible to any group interested.
l To use the copyrighted Bible Word Picture method of study, which even very young children can understand and remember.
l To show that even the most difficult symbolic passages of the Bible can be understood, simply, by using the Bible Word Picture method.
l To change your mind about Bible Study, from something boring to something fascinating as you discover the Bibles Hidden Treasure!

PRESENT ACTIVITIES:
Mr. Barrett has founded the “Bible Made Simple Ministry” and continues to write new books to help others to better understand the Bible.
